May 30, 2014 – Yoga For Runners at Midtown Studio

ALL LEVELS WELCOME. Athletes of all kinds can benefit from a consistent yoga practice. Many athletes have an imbalance in their bodies because of the targeted muscles that they work in their sport. For example, runners are typically tight in the hips and hamstrings and relatively weak in the core. Having a regular yoga practice can help runners increase flexibility while strengthening areas that will improve their running and reduce the risk of injury. Yoga also can be a practice to restore tired muscles that have been overworked as well as a way to assist in the healing of acute or chronic injuries.
