Yoga Teacher Training FAQs

+ What will be required of me?

BOLD Flow allows a minimal amount of absences per training. However, within the minimal amount, we will work with you to insure any missed hours are completed. We expect all trainees to be regularly attending BOLD Flow classes outside of tranining hours. (Classes are free for all teacher trainees!) In addition, you will also be given a required reading list of books to purchase.

+ What style of yoga will I be learning to teach?

Trainees learn to teach Guided Flow and Vinyasa Flow with the additional benefit of learning adaptations, modifications and intensifications that enable them to teach to a variety of experience levels and students. These styles encompass our modern approach to Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. In addition, expect to learn a broad overview of the different styles of yoga.

+ Do you offer discounts or payment plans?

Yes! We offer both. We are very flexible with payment plans, we want to make our training accessible to all those who want to make this extremely valuable investment in themselves. We only request that tuition is paid in full by the conclusion of training.

We also have two discounts that we always offer. The Paid in Full discount will apply at any time and the Early Bird discount will be availalbe for a limited time when new training sessions are announced.

Scholarships are also available.

+ If I’m brand new to yoga, can I register for teacher training?

People of all experience levels can benefit from yoga teacher training. Our program is designed to deepen your personal practice and give you the tools to be a novice yoga teacher. We have found it’s beneficial to have a minimum of 6 months of consistent yoga practice before enrolling. If you have not yet started practicing at BOLD Flow, we highly recommend taking classes with us before diving in.

+ How do I register for teacher training?

The first step is to email training@boldflowyoga.com. We'll get you set up with all the latest happenings regarding the YTT session you're interested in!

+ Is there a minimum age requirement to take training?

You must be at least 16 years old to take our teacher training program. If you are between 16 and 18 years of age we require written consent from your legal guardian and approval from our lead trainer.

+ I’m not sure I want to teach yoga. Is teacher training right for me?

Absolutely! While our program is geared towards those who want to teach yoga we believe teachers come in all forms. Whether you wish to gain knowledge and additional understanding of proper anatomical alignment, effective use of the breath and/or a more thorough appreciation for the meditative and philosophical aspects of your yoga practice, our teacher training deepens your personal practice both on and off the mat. Through practice teaching, you will gain more knowledge and experience to bring into your personal practice - even if you do not want to lead yoga classes.

+ Can I practice at your studios during training?

Yes! Included in your tuition is an unlimited membership that begins the date of your registration through the end of the teacher training program. As a training alumni, you will also receive a lifetime student discount.

Our program is designed to meet Yoga Alliance’s requirements for a 200-hour yoga teacher training. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate to register with Yoga Alliance at a 200-hour level.
